Just for fun

Stopped by my brother in laws house this weekend. Decided to have a little compositing fun. For the lightning bugs I had the camera capture 30 second exposures for about 15 minutes. In photoshop you can add all the images together using a method of allowing on the brightest pixels from each image through to the final image. So, all the lightning bug trails shine through into a 15 minute composite! The birds was a little more involved. I set the camera on a tripod up close to the feeder and controlled the camera with my phone from his deck. When I bird landed I would take a few photos of it before it would fly away. Since the camera never moved, I was able to photoshop a lot of the images together showing all the birds that had landed. Not winning any awards or selling these images, but it was great practice.
